Freebooter's Fate counters / markers finished !
So here are (a couple) of my Freebooter's Fate reload markers, objective markers, and panic markers:
3 treasure markers (2 swords and 1 chest) + 5 reload markers (4 pistols and 1 crossbow)
6 reload markers (2 pistols, 1 pair of pistols, 3 blackpowder counters for my rifles)
5 panic markers (or whatever I can use them for)
The rats and crossbow are from GW (as well as the bases).
The pistols, swords, chest, and blackpowder stuff is from Freebooter Miniatures.

Jungle Terrain: New WIP
So now the first four pieces of my Jungle Table are finished, it is time to start on a new piece. WIP:
This will be some kind of lake with a short wooden bridge in the middle. As you can see, this piece won't be too small. :-)
First Jungle Terrain Pieces finished!
So as title says, I have finished my first four Jungle Terrain Pieces (1 pyramid, 2 wall sections, 1 forrest). I'll try to add pics of the individual pieces this week, but here already a pic of the four pieces together:

Blog writers wanted
I actually think it may be a good idea to get this blog more active, by which I mean have more posts. This because there isn't that much out there about Freebooter to begin with (and blog followers rather like one blog that stays updated than several ones that are only active once every 3 months), but especially not in English (it's all in German ;-) ). This while some (great) blogs about the game in English might do the game well. Spread the word so to say. ;-)
It may also be the perfect place to publish some reviews (which in English are about as none-excistent or rather about 'unboxing a starter set'). And get different opinions (as people have their own different crew, different opponents, and so different experiences).
I may also stimulate us to keep going ourselves (keep each other motivated painting models and building terrain :-) ).
So I was actually thinking about the idea "what if I looked for some other people who want to write for the blog?"
Though I would already be glad with one person who would want to join the project, just in case a lot of people would want to join (and also to give every one a fair chance of spotting this post) I would want to ask you if you would want to write in short why you would join the project and then I let you guys know in two weeks time who has made it. ;-) Well if some one replies at least. :-D
Reasons why you could be a great addition (any one will do):
- good/great painter and paint on a regular base
- you build terrain on a regular base
- play a lot of games and so can write up some battle reports
- play a lot of games and so can write some reviews on the game in general and/or a crew in specific
- ... (you have a great reason I didn't think about)

Jungle Table and a new Leader
So this week I've finally started on my Pirate gaming table. It will actualy be an Amazone Jungle table. This for two reasons:
1) my second Freebooter's Fate Crew will probably be Amazones :-p
2) though FF is a pirate game, it is actually played on land (for most part). You know the place where Pirates burry their treasures. ;-) And we all know those are always tropical Islands. :-D
Anyway, I'll try to post a pic of my first (and small) Maya-style Pyramide as soon as possible.
...
Next to this, I have also bought my second Pirate Leader. I bought the second male Pirate Leader "Barco Malcaduco".
Why didn't I buy one of the two female Pirate Leaders? Well mainly because my current Pirate leader, Captain Rosso, is worth 105p while Barco is worth 95p. A 10p difference, which is more or less also the point difference between most specialists. So when I want to take a more expensive specialist, I just take my slightly cheaper Leader and vica versa.
An other reason is, I also bought the "equipment card deck" which allows you to invest some points in some small upgrades for your crew. A cheaper Leader means more room for upgrades. :-p

What's next?
So now my Pirate Starter set is finally painted (about 2,5 years after I bought it), I'll try to keep this blog more up to date. ;-)
So what's next?
These are the 8 models I have already assembled:
As you can see, I have already started on the mercenaries. Well to be more exact, I have started on their bases.
For those who don't know, the Gipsy was a limited edition model and is now no longer available. Leather Joe wasn't a limited edition model, but isn't available either nonetheless.
Next to these 8 models, I also have the limited edition model Qualani laying somewhere, but I still have to assemble her. So more on her another time.
Greets,
Jotie
